Activists often bring attention to problems that might otherwise be overlooked or ignored by **governments** and **corporations**. For example, the global **climate crisis** strikes led by young activists like Greta Thunberg have brought the **climate crisis** to the forefront of international discourse, pressuring leaders to take more **decisive action**. This **awareness** can lead to **policies** that prioritize **environmental protection**, such as stricter **regulations** on **pollution** and incentives for **renewable energy adoption**.

Moreover, **environmental activism** often acts as a **counterbalance** to **corporate interests** that might otherwise dominate **policy**-making.
