Nghĩa "môi trường tự nhiên" thường đi với the: the environment. Không đếm được theo nghĩa này.

Không dùng the trước nature theo nghĩa này: "in nature", không nói "in the nature".

• The north of Vietnam has a climate with four distinct seasons, while the south is hot all year.Miền Bắc Việt Nam có khí hậu bốn mùa rõ rệt, còn miền Nam thì nóng quanh năm.

Phân biệt: weather là thời tiết từng ngày; climate là khí hậu, kiểu thời tiết lâu dài của một vùng.

• If we keep using resources this quickly, we will leave a damaged planet for our children.Nếu cứ dùng tài nguyên nhanh như thế này, chúng ta sẽ để lại một hành tinh bị tàn phá cho con cháu.

Đồng nghĩa:

• Whenever I visit my grandparents in the village, I enjoy the fresh air.Mỗi lần về quê thăm ông bà, tôi lại được tận hưởng không khí trong lành.

Không đếm được: không nói "a fresh air". "A breath of fresh air" còn có nghĩa bóng: một làn gió mới.
