Trong tiếng Anh, có ba hình thức chính để diễn tả tương lai (Future Forms): “will”, “going to” và “present continuous”. Mỗi hình thức có cách sử dụng và ý nghĩa riêng.

Lý thuyết về Future Forms Practice

1. “Will”

Cách sử dụng:

• Quyết định tại thời điểm nói: Dùng khi quyết định được đưa ra ngay lúc nói.
  • Ví dụ: “I will call you back in a few minutes.”
• Lời hứa, đề nghị hoặc yêu cầu: Dùng để hứa hẹn, đề nghị hoặc yêu cầu.
  • Ví dụ: “I will help you with your homework.”
• Dự đoán không có bằng chứng rõ ràng: Dùng để dự đoán mà không có cơ sở hoặc bằng chứng cụ thể.
  • Ví dụ: “I think it will rain tomorrow.”

Cấu trúc:

• Khẳng định: S + will + V (nguyên mẫu)
  • Ví dụ: “She will travel to Paris next month.”
• Phủ định: S + will not (won’t) + V (nguyên mẫu)
  • Ví dụ: “He won’t join us for dinner.”
• Nghi vấn: Will + S + V (nguyên mẫu)?
  • Ví dụ: “Will you come to the party?”

2. “Going to”

Cách sử dụng:

• Kế hoạch đã định trước: Dùng khi nói về kế hoạch hoặc dự định đã được sắp xếp từ trước.
  • Ví dụ: “I am going to visit my grandparents this weekend.”
• Dự đoán có cơ sở: Dùng để dự đoán khi có bằng chứng hoặc dấu hiệu rõ ràng.
  • Ví dụ: “Look at those clouds! It’s going to rain.”

Cấu trúc:

• Khẳng định: S + am/is/are + going to + V (nguyên mẫu)
  • Ví dụ: “They are going to move to a new house.”
• Phủ định: S + am/is/are + not + going to + V (nguyên mẫu)
  • Ví dụ: “She is not going to attend the meeting.”
• Nghi vấn: Am/Is/Are + S + going to + V (nguyên mẫu)?
  • Ví dụ: “Are you going to buy a new car?”

3. “Present Continuous” (Hiện tại tiếp diễn)

Cách sử dụng:

• Kế hoạch cố định hoặc sắp xếp trước: Dùng khi nói về sự kiện tương lai đã được sắp xếp và chắc chắn sẽ xảy ra.
  • Ví dụ: “I am meeting my friends for dinner tonight.”

Cấu trúc:

• Khẳng định: S + am/is/are + V-ing
  • Ví dụ: “We are leaving for vacation tomorrow.”
• Phủ định: S + am/is/are + not + V-ing
  • Ví dụ: “He is not playing football this evening.”
• Nghi vấn: Am/Is/Are + S + V-ing?
  • Ví dụ: “Is she coming to the concert?”
