One of the primary reasons for the rising popularity of eco-friendly tourism is the increasing awareness of environmental issues. With the proliferation of information about climate change, deforestation, and loss of biodiversity, many people are becoming more conscious of the impact their travel choices have on the planet. As a result, travelers are seeking out experiences that minimize harm to the environment, opting for destinations that prioritize conservation and sustainability.

Another contributing factor is the desire for authentic and unique experiences. Unlike mass tourism, which often leads to overcrowded and commercialized destinations, eco-friendly tourism offers the opportunity to explore less-developed, natural areas. This type of travel allows people to connect with nature and local cultures in a more meaningful way, which is becoming increasingly appealing to a generation that values experiences over material possessions.
