One of the primary reasons for this heightened concern is the increased access to information. With the advent of the internet and social media, consumers are more informed than ever about the conditions under which products are made. Reports of labor exploitation, environmental degradation, and unethical business practices are now easily accessible, prompting individuals to reconsider their purchasing decisions. Additionally, the rise of documentaries and investigative journalism that expose unethical practices has played a significant role in shaping consumer consciousness.

Another reason for this shift is the growing importance of social and environmental responsibility. As global challenges such as climate change and income inequality become more pressing, individuals are increasingly aware of the impact their choices have on the world.
