- What kinds of films did you enjoy when you were a child?
- Is there a film you would like to watch again?
Bài mẫu tham khảo
1. Probably two or three times a week, usually in the evening to unwind after work. I don't always watch a whole film in one go, though; sometimes I split it over two nights if I'm tired.
2. For big action films, definitely the cinema, because the sound and the size of the screen make a huge difference. But for quieter dramas I'd rather stay at home, where I can pause the film and nobody is checking their phone next to me.
3. Mostly animated films. My brother and I used to watch the same cartoons over and over again until we knew all the lines by heart, and I think that's partly where my interest in English came from.
4. Yes, there's a science-fiction film I saw a few years ago that had a very complicated plot. I'm sure I missed a lot of the details the first time, so I'd like to watch it again more carefully, maybe with subtitles.
Tiêu chí band 7.0–7.5: trả lời mở rộng (ý chính + lý do + ví dụ), từ vựng chủ đề phim ảnh – lễ hội (blockbuster, independent film, on the big screen, streaming platform, a lively atmosphere, put on an event, draw a crowd), kết hợp nhiều thì. Part 2: dàn ý 4 ý theo thẻ đề, thêm chi tiết giác quan (âm thanh, màu sắc) để nói đủ 2 phút. Part 3: nêu quan điểm, so sánh hai mặt, kết bằng nhận định cân bằng. Lỗi hay gặp: kể tên phim quá nhiều mà không giải thích; Part 3 trả lời bằng kinh nghiệm cá nhân thay vì khái quát xã hội.
Questions 2–1
Speaking Part 2 — Nói theo thẻ đề
You have 1 minute to prepare. Then speak for 1–2 minutes.

Bài mẫu tham khảo
I'd like to describe an outdoor film festival that was held in a park near my home last autumn. It was organised by a group of young volunteers together with the local council, and it ran over three weekends.
The idea was very simple. Every Saturday evening they put up a huge inflatable screen at one end of the park and showed films for free, mostly local independent films that you can't usually see in mainstream cinemas. Before each screening there were food stalls selling street food and drinks, and sometimes the director of the film came along and answered questions from the audience afterwards.
I went on two of the weekends with a few friends from university. We brought blankets and some snacks, found a spot on the grass and just chatted until it got dark. What struck me was how mixed the crowd was: there were grandparents, families with small children and lots of students, all sitting together, which you rarely see these days.
I enjoyed it for a couple of reasons. First, the atmosphere was incredibly relaxed and friendly, completely different from sitting in a dark cinema with strangers. Second, it introduced me to films I would never have chosen myself. One of them, a documentary about fishermen in my province, was so moving that I've recommended it to almost everyone I know. I really hope they make it an annual event, because it gave the neighbourhood a real sense of community.

Questions 3–2
Speaking Part 3 — Thảo luận
Give extended answers with reasons and examples (about 40–60 seconds each).
- Why are cultural events important for small towns?
- Should governments spend public money on local festivals?
- How have streaming services changed the way people watch films?
- Can local film industries compete with big international studios?

1. I think they give small towns an identity and a reason for people to come together. Young people often leave small towns because they feel nothing happens there, so regular events like festivals or concerts can make a place feel more lively. They can also bring in visitors, which supports local businesses such as cafés and guesthouses.
2. To some extent, yes, although I don't think they should fund everything. A small grant can make the difference between an event happening or not, and the economic benefits often exceed the cost. That said, festivals should also try to attract sponsors and sell tickets, so they don't become completely dependent on taxpayers' money.
3. Enormously. People now watch films whenever and wherever they like, often on a phone during their commute, rather than going out to a cinema at a fixed time. It has also changed what gets made, because streaming companies produce a lot of series and films aimed at specific audiences. The downside is that cinemas, especially small independent ones, are struggling to survive.
4. It's difficult in terms of budgets, because a big studio can spend more on one film than a small country spends in a year. However, local industries have one big advantage: they can tell stories that feel authentic to their own audiences. Streaming platforms have actually helped here, because a good local film can now reach viewers all over the world without needing international distribution.
