The table compares the proportion of graduates from five fields of study who had found full-time jobs six months after finishing university in 2016 and 2024. It also shows their average monthly starting salary in 2024.

Overall, graduates in technical subjects, especially information technology, had the best job prospects and the highest pay by 2024, while arts and design graduates remained the least likely to find full-time work and earned the least.

In 2016, education graduates had the highest employment rate at 81%, followed closely by engineering (78%) and information technology (74%). By 2024, however, the figure for IT had risen sharply to 88%, overtaking all other fields, and engineering also increased to 85%. In contrast, the rates for education and business fell slightly, to 79% and 66% respectively. Arts and design saw a moderate rise from 52% to 58%, but it was still the lowest figure in both years.

Regarding salaries, IT graduates earned the most, at $1,600 per month, about $150 more than engineers. Business graduates received $1,150, while those in education and arts and design were paid less than $1,000, at $950 and $820 respectively.
