Our Summer Holidays
Three students write about their summer holiday.
A – Huy: Last summer I went to a small island with my family. We stayed in a wooden house near the beach for five days. Every morning, my dad and I went fishing in a little boat. We didn't catch many fish, but it was fun. In the evenings, we ate seafood and played cards. The only problem was the weather. It rained on the last two days, so we stayed inside and read books.
B – Ngoc: I don't like hot weather, so in July I visited my aunt in the mountains. It was cool and quiet there. I walked in the forest every day and took hundreds of photos of flowers and birds. My aunt has a small tea farm, and I helped her pick tea leaves. I learned a lot about tea. Next year, I want to go back and stay for a whole month.
C – Tuan: My holiday was in a big city. I went there with two friends by train. The journey took ten hours! We visited museums, a market and an old temple. The food was delicious but expensive, so we ate street food most of the time. I bought a T-shirt for my brother and a bag for my mother. It was tiring, but I want to travel with my friends again.
