Receptionist: Good morning, Riverside Sports Centre. How can I help you?
David: Hi. I'd like to join a swimming class for adults, please.
Receptionist: Of course. I just need to fill in a form for you. Can I take your name?
David: Yes, it's David Penrose.
Receptionist: How do you spell your surname?
David: P-E-N-R-O-S-E. Penrose.
Receptionist: Thank you. And how old are you, Mr Penrose?
David: I'm 34. Thirty-four.
Receptionist: And what's the best phone number for you?
David: It's 0798 416 230. That's zero seven nine eight, four one six, two three zero.
Receptionist: Great. Have you had swimming lessons before?
David: No, never. To be honest, I can't swim at all.
Receptionist: Don't worry, lots of adults start like that. So you'll start at beginner level. We have two beginner classes: Tuesday at half past six in the evening, or Saturday at nine in the morning.
David: I usually work late on Tuesdays, so I can't come then. Saturday is better for me.
Receptionist: OK, I'll put you in the Saturday class. Each lesson lasts forty-five minutes, and the course runs for ten weeks.
David: And how much does it cost?
Receptionist: It's 80 pounds for the whole course. Eighty pounds.
David: That's fine. Do I need to bring anything?
Receptionist: Just a swimming cap and a towel. You don't need goggles, because we have some you can borrow.
David: Good. Where do I go on the first day?
Receptionist: Please come to the main reception first. Then the teacher will take you to the small pool. The big pool is only used for team training.
David: Is there a car park at the centre?
Receptionist: There is, but it's very small and often full. Most people come by bus. The number 12 stops right outside the door.
David: Perfect. I live near that bus stop, actually. Thank you very much.
Receptionist: You're welcome. See you on Saturday!
